XXVIII UEF European Congress
The Congress will take place on 25 and 26 November 2023 in Brussels. On Saturday, we will be kindly hosted by the House of the European History, Rue Belliard 135, 1000 Bruxelles. On Sunday, the Institut Européen de la Culture Arabe, Rue de l'Alliance 2, 1210 Saint-Josse-ten-Noode will receive us.

Toward the European elections
The Congress is the most important event in the life of the organization and it will be the occasion to debate future of Europe and further support and disseminate the important initiatives of the European Parliament regarding the reform of the Lisbon Treaty and the europeanising of the elections to the EP.

The calculations for the delegates (again, the method applies for the first time) is submitted to the Federal Committee on 21 October.
If you are delegate but unable to come, and substitute delegates is exhausted, a proxy is admissible in a way that no delegate controls more than two votes.
The delegate who is absent and makes the proxy must still register for the Congress and provide his or her identity document.
Contribution to each participant, observers and delegates alike. Guests (speakers, etc.) are exempt from the contribution.

CANDIDATES FOR THE EXECUTIVE BUREAU and ARBITRATION BOARD
Our statutes—adopted in Valencia, and therefore applied for the first time for the convening of the Congress—regulate the obligations relating to the Congress, especially in Articles 11 and 12 and Articles 20, 21 and 22. We bring to your attention in particular those indicating the requirements for submitting candidacies (Article 22.2).
The Congress directly elects - and with different voting:
A (according to Articles 11.3 and 16.1 of the Statutes):
- the President,
- the Vice-Presidents (fixing the number between 2 and 4)
- the Secretary General, on the indication of the President
- the Treasurer
- the members of the Executive Bureau (fixing the number between 5 and 10)

1 for each started amount of 10 delegates appointed by the national sections, i.e.: 10 in total
According to Article 22 of the Statute, candidacies must be accompanied by a number of signatures equal to at least 10% of the delegates to the Congress (i.e. 14) or the support of three national sections.
Signatures can still be collected directly at the Congress. All candidacies must be deposited at the Congress presidium, accompanied by the necessary signatures, by noon on Saturday 25 November.
