Extraordinary Congress
Invitation
Dear Federalist Friends
as decided by the Federal Committee meeting online on 20 January 2024, an extraordinary congress is convened for 6 April, from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m., with the aim to approve specific amendments to the statutes.
These are amendments that the Congress of last November was unable to approve for bureaucratic reasons related to the change of seat from the Netherlands to Belgium, which was registered following the specific decision of the Congress; this decision meant that our statutes had to be brought into line with Belgian law, but it also blocked any further amendments until the change of seat of our organisation had been registered.
Proposals for changes to the statutes, which concern the position of Secretary General and which have already been discussed and illustrated at previous meetings of the statutory bodies, will be sent to the delegates well in advance so that there is a way for everyone to evaluate them.
The Congress will be held in hybrid format. We would like to remind those who will come in attendance that the venue will be the Press Club, rue Froissart 95, Brussels; while those who cannot be physically present in Brussels can participate online.

This is the same table you received for the Congress in November. Each section will consider whether to confirm the same delegation as established for the XXVIII Congress in November, or how and if it would like to change it.
Remember that at the Congress there is also the possibility of giving a proxy (a maximum of one per delegate, which means that no delegate may have more than two votes, including their own and any proxy they may receive).
