PC 5 Debate | Migration policy and narratives in Europe
Migration remains one of the most debated and sensitive issues in the European public and political discourse. From institutional strategies to the role of narratives in shaping public opinion, the topic of migration continues to challenge the European project — and demands federalist answers.
The webinar is part of the activity programme of its Political Commission 5 on Migration, Rule of Law and Justice. The focus of this PC is on advancing the debate and federalist agenda related to these issues, including priority topics as respect of human dignity and human rights, freedom of expression, democracy, promotion of equality-inclusive societies, amongst others.
We are honoured to welcome as our keynote speaker Tina Zournatzi, Deputy Director and Head of Unit, Communication, European Commission that will offer insights into the EU’s approach to migration communication and how narratives can influence both policy and perceptions.
