Parlamentarium | Rue Wiertz 60, 1047 Brussels

VoteWatch Europe has just finalized a study on "How are Members of the European Parliament shaping the future of the EU". The study analyses the views and influence of individual Members of the European Parliament on EU’s constitutional affairs showing who are the MEPs most favorable to EU’s further integration, which MEPs are currently most influential on these matters, and those who are likely to be on the rise in the future. Looking only at voting records and key parliamentary activities, the VoteWatch Europe report ranks the “most influential” among the “most federalist” Members of the European Parliament and the “Top 10 Young Pro-EU MEPs”. The report looks also at the degree of support and controversial issues by country, by political groups and by national party.

Based only on voting reports, the report ranks Jo LEINEN (S&D) as the most federalist and influential MEP on constitutional matters and Marietje SCHAAKE (ALDE) as the most pro-EU member in the category under 40.

Both winners will discuss the report after its presentation by DORU FRANTESCU, CEO & CO-Founder of Vote Watch Europe.

The debate will be moderated by PAOLO VACCA, Secretary General of the Union of European Federalists (UEF).

A Cocktail Reception will follow the debate.
