Challenges for the new Parliament and the new Commission
Opportunities for the Conference on the Future of Europe

The New European Parliament elected in June 2019 and the new European Commission still in the making have a very ambitious agenda ranging from launching a European Green Deal to making Europe stronger in the world and fit for the digital age. Can the European Union deliver on these promises and meet the expectations of its citizens and the challenges of an unpredictable world order? In parallel, as of the beginning of 2020, a Conference on the Future of Europe is expected to address the big questions of Europe’s future goals and means and engage the citizens in shaping the answers.

We will discuss with Guy VERHOFSTADT, Member of the European Parliament and Co-founder of The Spinelli Group, Sandro GOZI, President of the Union of European Federalists, Enrique BARON CRESPO, Former President of the European Parliament,  Andrea DE MARIA, Member of the Chamber of Deputies,  Domènec RUIZ DEVESA, Member of the European Parliament, and Bruno TABACCI, Member of the Chamber of Deputies The discussion will be moderated by the journalist Eric JOZSEF.

The discussion will be in English and Italian with simultaneous interpretation.

The event is organised by the Union of European Federalists in cooperation with Movimento Federalista Europeo (MFE)the Spinelli GroupGioventù Federalista Europea, and with the support of the European Commission-Representation in Italy,
The event will be held from 16:30 to 19:00, in the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Hall of RefettorioPalazzo San Macuto, Via del Seminario 76.
