What we have been up to

  • Democracy under Pressure demonstration

On 28th of March UEF and JEF Lux met for a “Democracy under Pressure” demonstration. This is a historical JEF campaign for the past 20 years which aims to raise awareness of the erosion of democracy across Europe. This year we first gagged a statue, the historical action of the campaign, and then did a series of speeches and street actions to show our support for democracy.

  • Conference Disinformation as a threat to democracy and peace in Europe

UEFL attended the second event organised by the LUkraine coalition last Wednesday, which focused on the issue of disinformation and was co-hosted by the Embassies of Poland and Romania in the University of Luxembourg.

The coalition organises monthly events on topics such as Ukraine’s reconstruction and resilience. We invite you to find out more about and contribute to the initiative: Advocacy Coalition.

The Conseil d’Administration continued its work, with a new board meeting focused on preparing future events, an internal meeting on advocacy brainstorming and preparations for the 80th anniversary of UEF Europe and upcoming political campaigns.
