- Stammtisch UEFL
Merci à toutes et à tous pour votre participation à notre premier Stammtisch de l'année! Nous avons pu discuter dans une très bonne ambiance différents sujets d'actualité d'un point de vue fédéralistes, y compris le dernier discours de politique générale du Premier ministre.
- Civil Society Europe évènement sur le dialogue avec la société civile au niveau national
Cette rencontre à Bruxelles a réuni des associations nationales afin de favoriser les échanges sur les pratiques de dialogue de la société civile dans les différents États membres, sur la mise en œuvre de la recommandation de la Commission et sur la manière dont la stratégie de l’UE en faveur de la société civile, récemment lancée, peut renforcer l’engagement structuré dans l’élaboration des politiques au niveau national. L'UEFL, une des deux associations luxembourgeoises présentes a pu échanger dans ce cadre avec Mme. Rosalba Striani, Cheffe d'unité par intérim chargé de la politique des droits fondamentaux et de la libre circulation, de la DG JUST.
- Création du think tank européen Cercle Européen Renert à Luxembourg
Le Luxembourg a désormais un nouveau think tank, centré sur l'Union Européenne: Cercle Européen Renert (CER). Plus d'information ici: Le Cercle européen Renert voit le jour en tant que think tank européen | Paperjam News. Après une première réunion de fondation, le CER a organisé une premier échange informel en comité restreint avec M. Marc Lemaitre, directeur général à la Commission européenne, sur le thème de la recherche.
- Travail du Conseil d’Administration et Représentation
Le Conseil d’Administration est toujours à l'œuvre, avec une première réunion de la Taskforce Capacity and Twinning de l'UEF Europe entre autres réunions de la Taskforce sur la stratégie, des sections ou encore une discussion en ligne avec l'Ambassadeur de l'UE auprès de l'Arménie.
Le 02/07, notre Présidente a participé à une nouvelle réunion du Comité d’action pour les Etats-Unis d’Europe à Courtrai (Belgique).

What we have been up to
- Stammtisch UEFL
Thank you to everyone for taking part in our first Stammtisch of the year! We were able to discuss various current affairs topics from a federalist perspective in a very friendly atmosphere, including the Prime Minister’s latest policy address.
- Civil Society Europe event on dialogue with civil society at national level
This meeting in Brussels brought together national associations to facilitate discussions on civil society dialogue practices in the various Member States, on the implementation of the Commission’s recommendation, and on how the recently launched EU strategy for civil society can strengthen structured engagement in policy-making at national level. The EUFL, one of the two Luxembourg associations present, was able to share insights with Ms Rosalba Striani, Acting Head of Unit for Fundamental Rights and Free Movement Policy at DG JUST.
- Launch of the European think tank Cercle Européen Renert in Luxembourg
Luxembourg now has a new think tank focusing on the European Union: the Cercle Européen Renert (CER). Further information can be found here (in French): Le Cercle européen Renert voit le jour en tant que think tank européen | Paperjam News. Following its inaugural meeting, the CER organised its first informal discussion in a small group with Mr Marc Lemaitre, Director-General at the European Commission, on the topic of research.
- Work of the Conseil d’Administration and Representation
The Board of Directors is still hard at work, with an initial meeting of the UEF Europe Capacity and Twinning Task Force, amongst other meetings of the Strategy Task Force, the sections, and an online discussion with the EU Ambassador to Armenia.
On 2 July, our President took part in a further meeting of the Action Committee for the United States of Europe in Kortrijk (Belgium).
