Europa-Union Deutschland (EUD) is the largest citizens' initiative for Europe in Germany committed to European integration since 1946. It is actively involved in European civil society issues and promotes European identity and the concept of a federal Europe at local, regional, national and European level. It has more than 16,000 members in 16 regional sections with about 250 local groups. Since 14 June 2007, EUD is also present in Brussels where it unites Germans working in European affaires in the “EUD Brussels” section (see www.eud-bruessel.eu).
