The Congress, which took place in Pisa from 27 to 29 October a few days after AFCO's approval of the report on the reform of the EU Treaties, coincided with the 80th anniversary of the MFE's foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MFE Congress was preceded on Friday morning, at the Aula Magna Storica of the Scuola Sant'Anna, by the round table \"Quale politica europea per l'Italia?\" attended by representatives of the Italian political forces (here the programme), while on Sunday afternoon, again at the Scuola Sant'Anna, the MFE celebrated the 80th anniversary of its foundation with the conference \"Towards a reform of the European Union? Reflections 80 years after the foundation of the European Federalist Movement', with the participation of, among others, Emma Bonino and Mario Monti (here the programme). During both events, the president of the UEF, Dom\u00e9nec Ruiz Devesa, spoke and was present throughout the Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Congress, which had the title \"Towards the European elections, the battle for a federal, sovereign and democratic Europe\", was attended by 190 delegates who discussed, a few days after the approval of the draft reform of the EU Treaties by the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the European Parliament, the new historic opportunity for the realisation of the European federation created by the initiative of the European Parliament and the work of the Conference on the Future of Europe. In particular, the European federalists will work to ensure that the tepee of EU federal reform is at the centre of the electoral campaign in the upcoming European elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other topics addressed both in the work of the Commissions on Friday afternoon and during the subsequent plenary sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning were the enlargement of the EU to Eastern European countries, the challenges Europe faces in the new international situation, the reform of European finance (here the Congress programme with the titles of the commissions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the MFE, the exhibition \"European Federalist Movement 80\" was also inaugurated at the Domus Mazziniana, in via Giuseppe Mazzini 71 in Pisa, which will remain open until 10 November on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

XXXI Congresso nazionale del MFE. \"Verso le elezioni europee, la battaglia per un'Europa federale, sovrana e democratica\"<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Il Congresso, che si \u00e8 svolto a Pisa dal 27 al 29 ottobre a pochi giorni dall'approvazione da parte dell'AFCO del rapporto sulla riforma dei Trattati UE, \u00e8 coinciso con l'80\u00b0 anniversario della fondazione del MFE.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il Congresso del MFE \u00e8 stato preceduto il venerd\u00ec mattina, presso l'Aula Magna Storica della Scuola Sant'Anna, dalla tavola rotonda \"Quale politica europea per l\u2019Italia?\" alla quale hanno partecipato rappresentanti delle forze politiche italiane (qui il programma<\/a>), mentre nel pomeriggio di domenica, sempre alla Scuola Sant'Anna, l'MFE ha celebrato l'80\u00b0 anniversario della sua fondazione con il convegno \"Verso una riforma dell\u2019Unione Europea? Riflessioni a 80 anni dalla fondazione del Movimento Federalista Europeo\", con la partecipazione, tra gli altri, di Emma Bonino e Mario Monti (qui il programma<\/a>). Durante entrambi gli eventi \u00e8 intervenuto il presidente dell'UEF, Dom\u00e9nec Ruiz Devesa, che \u00e8 stato presente per tutta la durata del Congresso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Congresso che aveva come titolo \"Verso le elezioni europee, la battaglia per un'Europa federale, sovrana e democratica\" hanno partecipato 190 delegati che hanno discusso, a pochi giorni dall'approvazione del progetto di riforma dei Trattati UE da parte della Commissione Affari Costituzionali del Parlamento Europeo, della nuova occasione storica per la realizzazione della federazione europea che si \u00e8 creata con l'iniziativa del Parlamento Europeo e il lavoro svolto dalla Conferenza sul Futuro dell'Europa. In particolare, i federalisti europei si impegneranno per far s\u00ec che il tepa della riforma federale dell'UE sia al centro della campagna elettorale delle prossimi elezioni europee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altri temi affrontati sia nei lavori delle Commissioni di venerd\u00ec pomeriggio che durante le successive sedute plenarie di sabato e domenica mattina hanno riguardato l'allargamento dell'UE ai Paesi dell'Est-Europa, le sfide che l'Europa si trova ad affrontare nella nuova situazione internazionale, la riforma della finanza europea (qui il programma del Congresso<\/a> con i titoli delle commissioni).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per celebrare l'anniversario della fondazione del MFE \u00e8 stata anche inaugurata presso la Domus Mazziniana, in via Giuseppe Mazzini 71 a Pisa, la mostra \"Movimento federalista europeo 80\", che rimarr\u00e0 aperta fono al 10 novembre luned\u00ec, mercoled\u00ec e venerd\u00ec dalle 8.30 alle 13.30, e marted\u00ec e gioved\u00ec dalle 8:30 alle 17:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
